I stood puzzled as my mom rubbed the etched edges of the table. My mom turned away and headed towards her room. Later that night, when everyone was asleep, a screech echoed throughout the house. I woke up and looked around my room. I heard slamming of car doors so I went to my window and looked outside but no one was there. There was a gunshot and I ran out towards the front of the house where my mom slept. Two men ran out of the room and stared at me. Instead of worrying about me, the two men ran offand out the front door. I quickly ran into mom's room and she was no where to be found. I panicked and wentbto get my sister Nami. She rides in a wheelchair because of a injury at birth. I woke Nami up and helped her into her wheelchair. We both went to the livingroom and I called the number that was on the table. The phone rang for a few minutes and then someone picked up.
"I see you finally called."Said the voice from the other end of the phone."Come meet me down by the old weapon factory and I'll tell you everything."
I hung up the phone and told my sister to stay put and i'll be back. My sister reached out and grabbed my sleeve.
"Please return as soon as possible"She said.
"I will" I replied walking towards the front door.
I was so shocked by my mom and dad's death. I' not so sure my mom died though. I arrived at the old weapon factory in a few minutes. The area was dark, probably around midnight. I looked around and waited on the man. Instead of a man walking out of the shadows, a girl stood in his place.
"My name is Vee-Three,"Said the girl, brushing her hair."The protector of the Lynx"
"So you're the one who called?" I asked, looking into her eyes.
"Yes, that was me. I see you have revenge in your heart. It is time, then , for you to sign this contract. She pulled out a paper from thin air and handed it to me.
