Dr. Eggman had been set down far away from Oleg's base. His rescuer: Sonic the Hedgehog, himself!
"Well, looks like Egghead is losing his touch!" Sonic joked.
"I haven't the time... or the patience... to put up with you, hedgehog," Dr. Eggman said, walking past Sonic, "I'm going home to think of something to fix that traitor for good!"
"Uh... You're welcome!" Sonic yelled after him, slightly annoyed.

Oleg was sitting behind a desk in his brand new office. His status as premier in the new Soviet Union granted him such an honor. However, he knew that Eggman would try to get revenge for betraying him.
"Premier, sir! One of our lab test subjects escaped!" A guard from the Battle Lab burst into the office.
"Which test?" Premier Oleg asked absently.
"Psionics, sir!"
That alarmed Oleg a little. "What was the subject's name?" he asked.
The guard placed a file on the desk. "His name is Jezzroy Wolfe, a 17 year old boy from America" he replied, "He has been blasted by a specially developed chemical that was meant to give people the power to create energy or move objects with their minds. It passed... and that's why he escaped so easily."
Oleg sat bolt upright. "Alert the troops to look out for this 'Jezzroy Wolfe'! He will be dangerous if he finds our Chaos Emeralds!" he ordered.
"Yes, premier!" the guard saluted, and dashed out the door.
