For anyone living in the US, tonight is the first of the Republican primary debates for the 2012 presidential election. No matter your age or party affiliation, it's always good to keep up with current events surrounding this republic. You can learn which candidates fit your views and which ones do not.
The candidates in this first debate include:
Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty
Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum
Texas Rep. Ron Paul
Former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain
New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson
Since many of these are less well-known candidates than Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, and the whole slew of potential runners, it gives viewers the chance to see the less mainstream ones. (Note that Donald Trump, Michelle Bachmann, and a few others, haven't announced their official candidacies yet.)
This debate will take place in Greenville, SC, and be hosted by FOXNews at 9:00pm EDT.
UPDATE: I've started a BB thread to discuss the debate here.
