Steam was rising from the hot black tar
As I was making my long trek home
On the last, first day of high school.

Thinking and walking gave me a headache
Like i was suddenly uncapable of
Doing two things at once.

I walked past your house,

The way you pretend you dont see me.
It makes me sick to my stomach.
Like stepping of a spinning carnival ride.

I try to block out the year before,
And all i can think of is how quickly you forgot me,
As easy as pressing the backspace on your keyboard.
