I wrote this poem about my mother when I was 12 years old. I just found it in a pile of stuff from my childhood... Hope you guys enjoy it.

As the sun breaks the branches
And the morning breeze
Moves the leaves
I am glad I'm alive
And to have been loved by you
The feeling of joy
Nobody in this world
Could mean more to me
You brought me into this world
As chaotic as it may seem
You kept me safe
You were the reason I breathe
I love you more than life
More than words can describe
You are my mother
My reason for living
And I pray that
Your love will be with me forever
For you are my wings
And I need you to fly...
