RAM stands for Random Access Memory
They are mainly used in computerized systems, such as a computer.
RAM comes in what most call "Sticks"
Generally thin, Yet around 4-6 inches in length, and about an inch in width.

RAM is used in all computer systems. Even a Nintendo DSi should have RAM! Sure, the "stick" would probably be more like a micro-chip, but that doesn't matter!

WAKE UP! RAM is used by any program on the computer.
In Example, My Laptop has 3 Gigabytes (GB) of it.Thats 3072 Megabytes.

EVERY program uses RAM. Games, Anti-Virus, even the Operating System. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera also use it. If it's a program, and the program is in use, it's using RAM.

For todays programs, BFBC2, CoD MW2, and even Multi-tasking between Facebook and Myspace needs WAY more than 1gb of RAM.

Thats why the DS says it ran out of memory.
The page is too large or too intricate for the little bit of RAM the DSi should have. Im thinking the DSi has 256-512MB of RAM ( I don't Know, it can't be more than 512MB...)

Random Access Memory is basically needed for EVERYTHING your computer does, without RAM, Computersays NO!
