Okay, I've been away for this past month studying for finals and doing last minute school projects, and I apologize for my absence.
Something that happened today infuriated me beyond belief.
Last day of school! The bell has rung! Finals are over!
All I had to do was go get in line with around 1,000 other people to sell my books back...
Simple right? I meant, all they had to do was scan your book, and the computer would tell you how much you got back. An then they gave you your money and you were on your merry way.
Right?
Am I right?
Nope.
The company that had come out to do the buy back program was obscenely unorganized and not even close to being prepared for the mass of students trying to sell back their no longer needed materials.
We would enter into the outer area of the theater, adn then enter one of several lines...
By lines, I mean rows about ten feet wide that were packed to the seams with students all pushing and shoving, trying to get out of there.
People yelling at us to back up, *(which no one did), telling us which way was the correct way...
And the people at the front were slower than a 120 year old tortise crossing the ENTIRE Gobi Desert! That slow! In total, I spent the first Hour and Forty-Five minutes of my summer vacation suck in a line to sell back books.
And I only got $80 back for them....when I got them for around $500....
Organization is needed in everyday lives, but when it comes to an event like this, people need to be more prepared.
There's a very easy way to solve the line issue...
If amusement parks have figured it out, why can't they?
Switchbacks can be set up to drastically increase line sizde, and organization.
The people were lazy, easiest issue of all. Stop being lazy! Get your act together!
Organization is a KEY life skill that you need no matter what job in what field your carrer is in!
