Hello there, kiddies. I'll be teaching you the basics for the common Blogging experience. These are the basic guidelines to some of the Categories.

BASIC OF ALL BASICS

Alrighty, the first step, is grammar and spelling. Yes, Ram, it's very generic, but crucial. A mistake? No sweat! A hol blug liek dis? No.

Sticking to your subject is important, too. Whatever it may be, don't digress too much. You'll lose the focus of your readers.

Be sure to have a proper length! 4 paragraphs at least, or 3 large ones. Too short, it won't be accepted, nor be interesting.

Reviews, Gaming
I count these Categories as Siblings. First off, makes use of the [bbcode] tags Hull gave us. Include photos, screenshots, .GIFs, even. Have fun with tags, and write a detailed review.

Polemic Rants

These are my favorite. In these, digression is allowed, and perhaps essential, sometimes. These can go on for a bit, so careful. They are generally opinionated, and as such, flamed heavily.

Short Stories, Poems

I have no experience with the two, personally. From what I know, keeping a story enthralling, with well-developed characters ought to work.. As for Poems, well... They're all quite generic, honestly. Just make sure it's about 3-4 paragraphs.

Educational

BE. CORRECT. I CANNOT stress that enough! "Cows originated on the Moon." NO. You musn't screw up, so be sure to quote something if necessary, and definitely cite your sources!

Most likely, you won't be typing one of these unless you're Hullbreach, and Admin, or reporting a major bug fix, hack, etc, or new Feature of site. Keep things proper.

Well, that's about it. Just bear these in mind while writing Blogs. I could not cover every Category, as I'm on DSi.
