The man looked down at the grave,
it belonged to a loved one.
One lost, but not forgotten.
His heart felt as though stabbed in the dead center,
and his eyes were losing focus.
His knees began to wobble, as he fell upon the ground.
The tears came down in streams, he was gasping for breath. Sobbing, like a baby.
After a while he realized, and said to himself.
Foolish heart.
Why do you sob for those who are gone?
For they are in a better place.
They feel no more pain, nor sorrow, nor shame of any kind.
The man stood up, and dusted himself off, now happy no longer sad, yet astonished of his selfishness.
He walked home with a smile on that unforgettable day. That he had a loved one up there, doing the same and was okay.
