A battle was going on in Moscow. Imperial Eggman forces were clashed against a Soviet army.
"DESTROY SOVIET TARGETS!!" the commanding robot in Eggman's army ordered.
"Dismantle those metallic scrap heaps!" one of the conscripts in the Soviet army countered.
They battled 'til sundown. Eventually, Eggman's forces drove the enemy out.
"THREE CHEERS FOR THE DOCTOR!!" Eggman's commander said, and the robots celebrated their victory.
Dr. Eggman was watching the battle on a monitor.
He grinned. "That traitorous fool should have stayed where he belonged: On my side!"
"DOCTOR! INCOMING MESSAGE!" A robot in the room reported.
"Patch it through!" Dr. Eggman ordered.
An image of Shadow the Hedgehog appeared on screen.
"Why, Shadow! Long time no see!" Dr. Eggman greeted cheerfully, then became serious. "Why have you contacted the Eggman Empire? This better be good."
"G.U.N. is battling the threat as we speak," Shadow said cooly. "What we want to know is how they got here!"
"Um... well..." Dr. Eggman stammered.
"I will contact you again. Be ready with an explanation when I return!" Shadow warned, and cut the connection.
"Hmph! That dark rodent doesn't boss me around!" Dr. Eggman fumed, and left the room.
