Allright, I've just finished playing Trace Memory and I liked it so much I've decided to make a review for it. This is the North American version, not the Japanese of the European version. I'm not going to stall, I'll just go straight to the point.
*The above picture is the North American version*
Graphics I have to say, the 2D graphics in the game were stunning. Sometimes I even forgot they were hand drawn. Nowadays, with the 3DS, this doesn't seem too extraordinary. The game was tailored to look as if it's 3D. I, personally, couldn't tell until I saw it's Wkikpedia page. I was a bit dissapointed in the huge lack of animation and the major repetition of pictures. All in all, I would give the graphics an 8/10.

Gameplay Not too impressed by the gameplay. The main (and baisicaly only) commands are walk, talk, and look. The main focus of the gameplay is to solve puzzles and put together items you've found to advance in the game. It seems your biggest obstical is unlocking doors and finding DTS cards. It reminded me a bit of Nancy Drew gameplay, but only a bit. I'd give the gameplay a 4.5/10.

Plot The main focus point of the game. If you play a game to enjoy the storyline, then this is a game you'll want to pick up. Much of the game is talking and D remembering his lost memories. If I were in charge, I'd have made it a movie instead. But... I just love the story it told. It's like reading a book that you can't put down, the only difference is it's on a DS. I give the plot an 100/10.
Pros Okay. This game is wonderful. The graphics are breathtaking, and it utilizes the DS very well. I've discussed most of the pros above.
Cons The biggest con was the length. It only takes about 3-6 hours to complete. Another would be the fact that it was made for a Nintendo DS, not a Nintendo DSi. One of the puzzles was difficult to solve because of the differences in the screen sizes. The next con is very minor but annoying. When D appears on the top screen, his bottom half fades away (he's a ghost). When he's moving on the bottom screen, he has a tail. Also, the English version is a bit different than the original Japanese version.
All together I'd give this game a 9/10.
