Savii Good day to those of you who've clicked on this blog. I must warn you that this is one of my rants. If you know some of my past rants, you'd know that they're all pretty much major issues...

This one is no exception. Let the ranting begin:

-ROLE PLAYING IS RIDICULOUS-
(in chatrooms)

Over the past 6 months I've noticed a major, and quite irksome number of members "RPing" in chatrooms.

Not only that, but I have had one particular member meesage me multiple times to RP. You know who you are.

While I understand roleplaying in real life is pretty much the same as acting, I find it REALLY pointless to be done in a chatroom.

It seems like there's always at least onechatroom with RPing going on now, and it's even more annoying when I find it's pretty much always new members.

Role Playing is not only pointless, but also has many issues that result from it. People get involved in their own little world, and now it seems nearly every RPing game turns into cybering, which NO ONE want to see, even if it is just text.

Many people may argue that RPing is for anti-social people, and it's a way for them to interact? Interacting on the internet is incredibly different than interacting in real life, and online interactions are not the same as social interactions.

Many people also find it quite annoying. It's not real life. You're in a chat room...it's made for CHATTING. That seems to be something many peope don't seem to understand.

There really is no point to RPing online, and it only results in more problems, nothing good.

This blog was made to prove a point.Not to offend.

-1. Personally, I'm not concerned about the content of your blog. What I dont like is the amount of Rants that people like you blog about all the time, and i'm, quite simply, sick of it. There are people on here that are noobs, and others may be normal, respected members. That is how it is, and it isn't going to change. Get used to it.

I don't understand the point of roleplaying at all and I'm quite anti-social, so I support that statement.
Role playing actually bothers me. I can't stand things that seem to serve no purpose other than wasting time. If someone could give me one, it wouldn't bug me so much. Don't say that it's fun, because I'm sure you could find much more entertaining things to do with your time.

Usually when I say major issue, I mean an issue on this site.

Roleplaying happens in chat everyday, so I'd say it's a major part of this site.

It's major, but on this site, I guess I didn't clarify enough, sorry.

Just because I chose to say something about a topic that hadn't really been touchedbefore doesn't make me a n00b.

I've been on here a lot longer than 95% of the people commenting on here, so I don't think I can be considered one.

I stated some opinions. Maye I went a little overboard like last time.

I guess I was just tired of people constantly asking me to "RP" and walking into chats consiting solely of RPers.

While I feel roleplaying in real life is alright, mainly for actors, I feel that in a chatroom, it's just text, not a story, just text.

It seems every person who actively role plays has thumbed this down.

I wonder if the number of thumbs down is a record? XD.

Ah, anyway, you get the idea, just my view. Obviously, many people do not share that view, which was expected.

I couldn't have said it much better than ROFL King. As ninjadmins, we enjoy trolling for noobs to ban. If a role player gets out of hand, they get banned.

If I had to add theoretic statistics, though, I would say there is a higher chance for angry noobs ranting about things to get banned than someone having fun role playing. Role playing noobs tend to mind their manners a bit more than angry noobs.

I see no point with the little nooblets roleplaying. It's just a game. Sure, sometimes it's noobish and pointless. But noobs deserve fun. As do I. I troll their roleplaying. Bwahaha.

Roleplaying is just their way of getting attention. Just like you. Pretending to rant about serious issues like a big boy. Someday you'll grow up and rant about real things. And hopefully you'll learn how to write so those rants won't sound ridiculous like this one.

What harm does role playing do to you? None? Exactly.

Roleplaying is another way to create stories with characters that the participants choose.

Many of my roleplaying friends use their own characters which they created. Take my username for example... Kazuma is the NAME of a character from a video game, but is NAMING a character that is based off of the game character. It's not like only one person in the world has the name 'Bob,' right?

This is overall a stupid blog, and I am disappoint.

Ok...like everyone else said, rp is good if its not noob-rp, I dont rp on DsiPaint because usually if I'm asked its just a bunch of brainless noobish morons who dont even know what to rp about then end up do a pool party then getting banned, I like rp'in but not on DsiPaint, so I'll have to disagree with you Tycoon Master.

Objection. Roleplaying is fine if it's not something like a "date" or romance themed. Not all Roleplays lead to cybering, some are just fights or making a story. However, cybering and romance Roleplays are wrong.

And chatrooms are for people to talk about anything they want. If they don't like the roleplay, they can leave. Now i'm not saying that cybering is conedable, but still. Some people don't roleplay cybering or "dates".

I roleplay (but not in chatrooms), and I'm not afraid to admit it. Why, you ask? Well, here you go:

RolePlaying is a way for people to experience a different... what's the word for it... "life," if you will. People can live a whole new life by RolePlaying, and most RPers find it very entertaining. While I can agree that it can lead to cybering a lot of the time, as long as the public cannot see it, it's cool in my book (it should be noted that, no, I DON'T encourage cybering). RolePlaying can either be a simple way to pass the time, or just a way to experience something new. If you don't like it, well, too damn bad for you, huh buddy? Looks like you're gonna have to switch chatrooms, right?
