Marcus was just beginning to drift off to sleep when a blood-curdling scream pierced the silence.
"WHAT THE HECK!?" He jumped out of bed and ran as fast as he could to Scarlet's room. He rounded the corner and slid to a stop in front of her open door.
Her room was a disaster,and it took Marcus a second to spot the red vixen huddled up on the floor in the corner.
Without hesitation the blue vulpine crossed the room in two steps and dropped to his knees in front of her.
"Scarlet! What happened!?"
Her head popped up and her tear-filled eyes looked at Marcus.
"IT WAS HORRIBLE! IT WAS MUTILATED AND DESTROYED AND RIPPED-UP AND GNASHED AND BLOODY AND BLACK AND IT DAZED ME INTO THIS WHIRLPOOL OF BLINDING LIGHTS THAT SPUN AROUND SO FAST IT MADE ME PANIC AND I COULDN'T BREATH AND IT THREATENED ME AND- IT'S STILL HERE!! FIND IT DON'T LET IT GET AWAY!!!!"
Marcus stared at her in disbelief, then charged out of the room and called R.O.B. up on his hologram wrist band.
"R.O.B.! We have an intruder! Activate all heat-sensory detectors and montion sensory devices! It's a code red threat, I repeat, the intruder is a code red threat!!!"

The Great Fox III was eerily silent. The excitement had fizzled out as the scanners and sensors came up with nothing. No one besides the three team members were on board the massive ship.
Wearily, Marcus walked back to Scarlet's room. He spotted her still in the same spot she'd been in an hour ago, staring emptily at the wall across the room. Her nervously walked in and she jumped and snapped out of her daze. He stood in front of her.
"Scarlet, we found nothing..."
She jumped up and started shaking.
"YOU DIDN'T FIND IT!!?? OH MY GOSH THAT MEANS IT'S STILL LOOSE SOMEWHERE!!?? OH MY-"
Marcus grabbed her convulsing form and held her to him, trying to calm her down. He seriously thought she was going to pass out or stop breathing. Marcus asked her a question.
"What did it say to you?"
"IT SAID IT WAS GOING TO KILL ME!!!!"
