EXTRA Although famous throughout the world, the Jack Russel Terrier is not recognized by the English Kennel Club.
DESCRIPTION & COLOR These dogs have a double, weatherproof coat. Their coat can be broken or smooth, but should not curl. Their size shows some lack in uniformity, with height being 10-12 in (25-30.5 cm) & weight of 9-15 lb (4-7 kg). Any of these dogs entered in dog shows in America are disqualified if they are under 12 in (30.5 cm) or over 15 in. (38 cm), these dogs actually resembles Britians Parson Jack Russell Terrier.
Their are not many color patterns acceptable in a Jack Russell Terrier, only 4 are accepted: White, Black & White, Brown & White, & Tri-Color (Black, Brown, & White)

•Very vocal, excessive barking might be an issue.
•Highly energetic, it's recommended that at LEAST 30-45 minutes is devoted DAILY to exercising them.
•Always leash when not inside or in a secure fenced area. These dogs have strong predatory instincts & WILL chase.
•They're for experienced dog oners only as they can be very hard to train & very difficult to manage.
HEALTH •Cataracts Clouding of the lens in the eye, this condition isoccasionally inhereted.
•Lens Luxation is when the eye lens is displaced. It causes sudden, intense pain & leads to bindness quickly.
•Patella Luxation is a displaced kneecap. This affects smaller breeds, Including Jack Russells.
•Cryptorchidism is when only 1 of the 2 'male parts' have descended.
•Ataxia is a muscle disorder causing uncoordinated gait.
•Legg-Calve-Perthes is when the femoral head partially disintigrates.
•Myasthenia Gravis causes the motor nerves to become weak in the hind quarters.
