"Fallyn!" the voice that yelled my name was muffled, but fammiliar. Colby.
"Good grief, what did she do?" That would, if course, be Vergil. I was surprised they'd gotten back so fast.
"Who cares!" I yelled, dirt filling my mouth "Just get me out of here Deake too!"
"You buried Drake with you?" Colby demanded "Oh, come on Fal."
"COLBY BRIAN FREDERICKS!" I screamed "Get me out of here!"
"You heard the lady." Vergil chuckled. I felt around for Drake. I knew he was claustraphobic and that just being in the
tunnels was hard for him. Ironic, since he shifted into a snake, but true. I felt something warm and soft. His hand. I latches onto it.
"Fallyn, light yourself up!" Colby yelled "I can't see you!" Okay, do that's one way we pixies are like Tinker Bell. We're bioluminescent. We create our own light. Don't judge me. It comes in handy. I lit myself up, creating a silvery purple light around me. The color of our light is based on what your could call our 'life essence'
or our personalities. I don't know what each color stands for, but I do know mine is a rare one. Guess I'm just special.
"There!" Vergil shouted. I felt weight on my chest.
"OW!" I yelled "You're stepping on me!"
"Sorry, Fallyn." Colby apologized "Hang on." I heard them start digging and tightenened my grip on Drake's hand. He clutched it back. That at least meant he was alive. I saw a patch of light and part of Colby.
"Hi." I smiled. Colby cracked a grin. He pulled away more dirt and I could finally breathe correctly, without inhaling dirt everytime I tried. I shoved away some dirt and sat up. I tugged on Drake's hand.
"Drake's right next to me." I told them. Vergil started digging him out. I helped him pull him up, gasping for air.
"You okay?" I asked, releasing his hand.
He shuddered, "Fine." he said.
I looked up at Colby.
"Where are Shadow and the other team?" I asked, rubbing dirt out of my eyes.
"They're on their way." Colby replied, combing dirt out of my hair. @We heard the boom in the park. Verge and I ran ahead."
"Any idea what happened?" Vergil asked, helping Drake to his feet. I shook my head.
"Katirina having a tempertantrum, that's my pet theory." I said, letting Colby help me to my feet. Colby gave me a dubious look.
"When Katirina causes earthquakes there are generally no 'booms' involved." Colby pointed out. I heard foot steps outside the tunnel.
"Who did a number on this place?" An annoying voice muttered. Anna-Marie. I had been hoping they'd loose her on the way.
"Is Fallyn okay?" Shadow called.
"Fallyn is fantastic." I replied, speaking in third person for no apparent reason. The group started down the tunnel.
"What happened?" Jason asked, running a hand through his hair. I shrugged, looking at Drake.
"Ask him, he's the smart one." I mumbled.
"Obviously." Anna-Marie muttered. I shot her a dirty look.
"I have no clue what happened." Drake admitted "There was just a boom and a crack then the tunnel collapsed. We barely had enough time to react."
"So... It just went 'kaboom'?" One of the twins asked. I could barely remember they're names, let alone which was which.
"Kind of." I said. "It couldn't have been Katirina."
"Who's Katirina?" Lukas asked.
"Our resident fey princess. She basically just makes all the stuff we do legal." Shadow explained "She has a tendency to cause earthquakes when she gets upset."
"So... She's pretty much just a problem?" The other twin asked. Jason gave him a hard look.
"Be quiet, Spencer." He sighed. Oh. So the one with the longer bangs was Spencer. The one with the shorter bangs was... The other one...
"Anyway, let's go." Vergil said. Colby nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, I don't want to be in here if they collapse again." Colby said.
"Hey, is that burning stone thing always there?" Anna-Marie asked. I turned in the direction she was pointing in. There was a strange embelem burning in a stone that I swear hadn't been there five minutes ago. It looked a bit like a cross, but completely different.
"No." I said "No it isn't." Shadow's breath caught in is throat.
"Is that what I think it is?" Jason asked, gulping.
"Yes." Shadow replied "I think it is."
"Then that means that-" Jason began.
"Yeah." Shadow answered "It does."
"So then we-" Jason started.
"Oh for the love of Lillith, tell me what it means!" I interrupted, frustrated.
Shadow looked at me, nothing but seriousness in his eyes.
"Fallyn that's the Mark of Lillith." he explained. I was confused now.
"Isn't Lillith good?" Vergil asked. Anna-Marie shook her head.
"She is, but heraek isn't." she explained. "Her mark only appears out of the blue like that if one of her children are about to die." I looked at Shadow. His face was drawn, his jaw tight.
