A Message from the Author: Hey, so I know we're only a couple parts into the series, but because I pretty much have a plot line draw out (literally) I've already decided that a few of the characters in this series are going to be hopping in and out of the major plot and doing a little work behind the scenes. On account of laziness and having noticed that one or two people seem to like this series, I've decided that, while the certain characters are jumping out (Mostly Anna-Marie, Vergil, Lukas, the twins and a character who hasn't been introduced yet, Kiko,) if any of you out there would like a character of your own to jump in. Just a question. Comment or shoot me a message if you want one and I promise I'll get back to you. Now, to what you actually showed up to read: The story:

"Anna-Marie, put the chair down!" Lukas shouted. I groaned and picked up speed. When we reached the main lobby of the base, we saw a startling sight. Lukas, the twins, Vergil, and Anna-Marie, locked in combat, Anna-Marie holding up a chair, looking like she was about to hit Vergil with it.
"We leave them alone for five minutes." Shadow griped.
"Anna-Marie Elloise Debreevs!" Jason shouted "Put down the-Gah!" Jason ducked as the chair sailed in his direction.
"ANNA!" Dillon screamed. I sighed frustratedly and handed Shadow the frog that was my brother.
"Hold him." I said, simply, heading over to Anna-Marie. I grabbed her by her short red hair and dragged her to one of the chairs that she hadn't thrown. I pulle some rope out of my weapons belt and tied her by her wrists and ankles to it, her fighting me all the way. Finally, I pulled out some duct tape and taped her mouth shut.
"Problem solved." I grinned, leaning against a nearby wall. Shadow gave me a pained look. Anna-Marie glared at me.
"Thank you, Fallyn." Vergil sighed. He stood straight and brushed himself off. The twins giggled.
"You're good." Spencer said.
"Really good." Dillon agreed. I beamed at them.
"Aw, thanks." I said. "I'm sure your good to."
"Did you really have to tie her up?" Jason laughed. I frowned at Anna-Marie.
"I suppose I could have just knocked her out..." I admitted. Shadow made a rude noise. I glared at him. He tossed me Colby the Frog. Frog Boy ribbeted loudly in protest when I caught him.
"Yeah, yeah." I mumbled.
"Are you sure you two will be able to work together?" Shadow asked. Anna-Marie made a sound that could have been laughter, but it was a little difficult to tell, what with the tape over her mouth and all.
"Mmf wormrf wiff mer?" She said. I raised an eyebrow.
"In a language we speak?" Lukas suggested. She rolled her eyes.
"Fallyn,if you could remove the tape." Shadow sighed. A devious smile flitted across my face as I brutally ripped the tape off her mouth.
"OW!" she shrieked. She kind of reminded me of a banshee, which, exist, just by the way. The twins snickered. Lukas smiled. Colby gave a few short croaks that could've been laughter. Shadow gave me one of his looks. Jason hid a smile. Vergil cut me a look.
"Very mature, Fallyn." Anna-Marie sneered. She said my name like a dirty word. I looked at her like she was crazy, ignoring the sarcasm.
"No it wasn't." I said. She gave me a dry look.
"And I'm telling you I don't CARE if there were innocents involved." a loud, shrill voice stated. It was Kiko, our acting base manager, talking on her cell phone. She snapped her gum loudly and put a hand
on her hip.
"Marco, that's not what I said." she snapped. I shared a knowing look with my frog of a brother then quieted down everyone else. Kiko scowled.
"Marco, you know we have to send in both teams!" she protested. There was a pause, then she spoke again "Yes both of them!" Another pause "Oh. that's rubbish and you know it.... They will NOT kill everything in sight! You're just being- Fine! Good bye!" she hung up with a indignant huff. Vergil grinned and leaned against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest.
"How'd it go?" he asked, coyly. Kiko snapped her gum again and gave him a venomous look.
"Marco isn't thrilled we're not letting his base handle the operation." she replied, curtly. Shadow raised an eyebrow.
"But they specialize in fey." Shadow mused "Why would they want to go head to head with a demon outbreak involving every Otherworlder except fey."
"Maybe because he has a pride complex." I muttered. Kiko gave one of her short,
barking laughs.
"For once Fallyn, you're spot on" she tittered. She finally seemed to take in Jason and his team, her eye lingering on Anna-Marie. She straightened her business suit and flipped shiny black hair over her shoulders.
"I see our guests have arrived." she said. She gave Jason a warm smile, "I'm Kiko. I'm the manager her for all intensive purposes." Jason grinned back at her.
"Jason." he replied "Leader of my team, for all intensive purposes." Kiko raised an
eye brow.
HALT!
Maybe I should back up a bit and explain the way a team like ours is set up. This'll only take a second.
Our leader, as you may have noticed, is Shadow. Even though the way our base works the oldest person in a group or the one with most experience gets to lead, even if Shadow wasn't 123 and a half years old, we'd still make him our leader. He's probably the only one of us who can always keep our heads straight and always think before throwing a punch. He's reliable, responsible, stoic, and never truly let's his gaurd down. He's the best leader ever.
After the leader, we have what we call an 'advisor' or 'second'. On our team, It's Colby. The purpose of a second is to basically point out things the leader may miss, provide the leader with someone to fill in if he were to disappear, and keep everyone else in check, make sure there are no mutanies being planned or something like that. Colby is patient, calm and quick witted, but he can also be relaxed, funny and nonchalant.
After the second we have our 'scout'. Normally this is a shifter, since they can disguise themselves and provide some cover. The purpose of a scout is to go in and provide some type of information to bring back. Since Vergil is werewolf with an impeccable nose, and an excellent sense of hearing he's great at his job.
Then we have me, our 'special ops'. This is basically a position where you could be doing anything from spying to stealing food when our supply runs out. There's basically nothing they won't have us do. Being a pixie, stealing is rather my specialty.
"Fallyn?" Kiko called. I raises my eyebrows.
"Yeah?" I said. Kiko pursed her lips and looked at Anna-Marie. For a second O thought she was going to tell me to untie her. Kiko shook her head.
"You don't turn sixteen until next year, right?" she asked. I rolled my eyes. Vampires. No sense of time,
"No, Kiko." I sighed "I turn sixteen next month." Kiko put her hands on her hips and tapped her foot.
"Alright." she muttered "Okay, this can work." she shifted her gaze to Anna-Marie. "Tell me, dear." she said "Do you... Like Fallyn as a person?"
"I don't like her period." Anna-Marie snorted. Kiko have a curt nod.
"Then it's settled." Kiko said, smiling. "Fallyn you're not going."
"Going where?" I asked
"On the mission." Kiko replied "You are staying here, lovely."
My mouth dropped open.
"YES!!!!" Anna-Marie screamed. I couldn't help it. I punched her in the jaw.
