The Great Pyrenees is just that, great. Also known as the Pyrenéan Mountain Dog & Chien de Montagne des Pyrénées, They`re a large breed, with lots of grroming needs. Here's their profile:
DESCRIPTION Substantial dogs, they pack in great amounts of stamina, strength, & power. Impressively large in size with a height of 25-32 in (64-81 cm) & a weight of 85-132 lb (39-60 kg). Their topcoat is long, profuse & flat. It provides protection from the elements & comes in only white (though, occasionally, badger, wolf-grey, or pale-yellow patches are seen. This is uncommon.) Their coat almost forms a mane around the regal, wedge-shaped, immensly strong head. Small, triangular ears, starting at eye-level, hang down from the head. The body is muscular, with a thick tail that reaches the floor or (possibly) curving over the back. Shedding is constant & grooming are condiderable. Daily grooming is needed to prevent matting of the coat.
