The DSi... An actual new version of the DS. Lets get this straight. The DS Lite wasn't really an update, just a smaller version of the original DS.
Now, Nintendo thought they needed to make parents have to re-buy the DSi! Only this time instead of being smaller, it's bigger!
The DSi XL, here is Wikipedia's description of it:
"The Nintendo DSi XL (known as the Nintendo DSi LL in Japan) is a hand held game console produced by Nintendo and the fourth iteration of the Nintendo DS hand held gaming console, being the direct successor to the Nintendo DSi [Nintendo Japan site states that the DSi LL is not a successor to the DSi, but an alternate system and that both systems will sell alongside each other]. It is slated to be released in Japan on November 21, 2009 and in Europe and North America in the first quarter of 2010."
HOW BIG DO OUR SCREENS HAVE TO BE!?!?! Of course that is the only reason for this new version, Nintendo wants everyone to have huge screens on their "handhelds". The DS will eventually turn into a laptop, and we will still be calling it a "hand held".
Besides the semi-increased battery life and the huge screens, the DSi XL is just the DSi... SUPER SIZED! I thought McDonald's stop "super sizing" things in '04.
