I left Kelly's room and walked towards the doors leading to the main hallway. As I passed it I pulled the fire alarm. The water would wash some blood off the walls and the alarm would alert doctors from other areas.
I walked through the doors and continued my search.
When I had gotten to the hallway Leana had learned led to Ashten's room I looked for the right door. When I found the right number I walked towards it. I didn't see or hear any sign of Phil or Leana.
I got to the door and opened it slowly. When I walked in I found Ashten sitting on her bed. She looked exhausted.
When she turned her head to look at me I saw a mixture of confusion and surprise.
Before she could say anything I said "Remember me?"

I was thinking about where the doctors might be when the door suddenly opened. I turned my head expecting to see one of them but instead I saw a strange girl standing there. She looked to be about my age. I could tell by the collar she was wearing that she was here for the same reason as me.
Before I could say anything she said "Remember me?" This confused me, why would I know her? I looked at her closer then I suddenly realized. Back when I was 8 there had been a girl in the room next to me, she had been like a sister to me. She had made my life in the Children's Wing easier. We had done everything together and when I left she had cried. She never cried.
I didn't say anything. I jumped up from my bed and ran to hug my best friend. I burst into tears. I couldn't believe she was here and I felt bad I hadn't recognized her right away.
I noticed some blood on her hands but I didn't bother to ask about it.
She hugged me back and I could tell she was happy I remembered her.
"I have some people I would like you to meet" she said suddenly. "Okay" I said wiping my tears away. She took my hand and pulled me out of the room and down the hall.
