Welcome to the 13th issue of Your Computer and you!
Todays issue: Keylogging.
I. I don't get it.
----------------------------
Well, Keylogging does what the name suggests. It Logs your Keys not your Key ring, but your keystrokes on your keyboard.
Its a simpler way of getting credit card numbers, passwords, etc.
II. Wait, I think I saw that on my Antivirus.
-------------------------------------
Well, You might have. Hackers use keylogging to steal passwords, credit cards, and more! It'll be a disguised program, running in the backround, lurking in the shadows.
III. Woah, Woah. Thats terrible! That CAN'T be legal.
-----------------------------------
Well, infact some (SOME) are legal, while others are illegal. The legal ones are usually used in a Office enviroment. It can be used to track your keystrokes to see what sites you're on for many reasons. Nothing personal, just good buisness.
IV. How can I protect myself?
----------------------------------
Well, Norton and Kaspersky have a nifty password Key thing, but for those without them, you can get http://www.keyscrambler.com (Key Scrambler) to keep your guard up!
Although I'm more of a "WINDOWS RULES" Type dude, I'm open to Any PC Or Mac chat, so shoot me a Friend request!
