Drake Gracewelle sat down at the dining room table from his wife, Amber Walsh. She'd insisted on keeping her last name, as was custom. Drake didn't mind. He wasn't as possesive as some husbands.
"Morning, love." he greeted her. She smiled at him, radiantly.
"You'll never believe it." she trilled as he sipped his coffee "Do you remember Lilac's little girl?" Drake felt a familiar pang stab at his heart at the mention of his sister and his neice. That was a bit of a sore subject. Nonetheless, he nodded.
"Brown Eyes?" he asked, using the nickname he'd called her by all those years ago. Amber nodded, eagerly.
"She's alive!" Amber squealed. Drake nearly spewed his coffee across the table. Instead he swallowed quickly.
"Impossible!" he protested "Harry crashed his car!"
"And she lived!" Amber insisted "She lived! That moron Harry lied to us? She's been alive all this time!" Drake felt his heart
pound with anticipation. His niece was alive?
"We have to find her." Drake said, firmly "She will not live with that tyrant Harry any longer." His wife nodded curtly and pulled out a bronze locket. Melanthea's locket. Drake grinned. Time to find that brown eyed girl. He was curious to see what his neice looked like.
Curiosity killed the cat he reminded himself.
"But you're not a cat, so go for it." he muttered

"But, she can't be." Eliana Braveheart insisted into her black cell phone as she walked down the street. "But... Oh that
lying little- Yes. Yes. Have you told James yet? Well why haven't you! Maybe now he'll come out of that apartment! Yes. Oh, of course! I'll see you soon." Eliana ended the call and walked with a little more speed in her step as she headed towards home.
Bubbles was alive.

Seth Gracewelle tapped his foot impatiently and checked his watch. The plane from Texas to Maine should have come an hour ago. He was going to be Late.
Spark Plug was waiting.

Justin Campbelle shoved his brother into the car.
"Come on!" he urged "We need to go!"
"I'm going." Carver snapper, furiously. "She's not going to fly away."
"She could if she wanted to." Justin mumbled.
It was time to find his goddaughter.
