DSiMystery; Back in development

Hey! Now, as many of you know, DSiMystery was supposedly "abandoned." This was not because I was too lazy, as I informed many who asked. No, the real reason was because I cleared off my desktop (it couldn't hold any more apps). Sadly, little did I know that DSiMystery's .pub file (the application I use to create Mystery uses that format) lied in that same place. Now, luckily, Recycle Bin is my new best friend and I managed to recover it around two weeks after I deleted it. It's amazing how I overlooked that oh-so-simple solution.

So, yeah, I'm making Mystery again. The thing is, I have two important pieces of news that I must inform you of. First off, the game will be very short and easy. This is because I need to know opinions about the interface and general storytelling. If I get enough positive opinions, I'm going to make a sequel. Much harder, much cleaner, and much longer.

Second, one of the biggest issues I've had is finding a web host to fit my needs. Mystery is a large game: It's over 4MB in size. For those who don't know, that's a monster of a site. Servers generally allow uploads of less than 3MB, so we kinda have an issue, huh? I'll figure it out, but if someone can name a host that can upload large files and decompress .zip archives, please inform me.

cant you just give everyone the url to the page were supposed to go to when the loop happens? its 2012 now. sorry to bother you, but you said theres a blog about it, but the one i read said youd fix it, but its not fixed yet. but i do know the situation with the server. so i understand that as well. :3

StuffMan- Can you please help us. Can't you see how many people are trying to get past floor 2 where the sleepy guy and matthew are in the hallway & then they go 2 the kitchen and emilia says, " let's see f he's right" if u tap the down arrow it takes u back to the hall again

Yeah. Page1663.htm links to Page2113.htm and that just jumps backwards in the game.

Answer: ITS ON THE BOARD IN THE KITCHEN NEXT TO THE DOOR TO THE FREEZER. CLICK IT AND IT WILL GIVE YOU A CODE.

When im in the kitchen 2nd floor, then it takes me RIGHT back to the hallway with that sleepy guy. It does it every time.

Just use a host that allows FTP.
Net2FTP(.com) allows uploading of .zip archives, and can decompress them.

Netfirms is paid, I think. I used that a while back. It's not as user friendly as the more common ones. 000webhost? Zymic? Vistapanel?

Try Netfirms. I think you can host a maximum of 5MB.

What if you split the game up into two parts and put 2MB on one host and the 2MB on a diffrent one, then, in part one put the link too part two, it will take longer but it will be worth it.
