Finlly 1.8 has came out but only in the pre realease edition. You can find the download on the mineraft forums just search (minecraft 1.8 prerelease download)

the update includes creative and survival mode.

Creative mode includes unlimited stacks, instantmine, flying, god mode its made just to build and not to use any mods whatsoever

Survival mode is my favourite mode Notch has added gorges, rivers,villiges but no npc's yet, Endermen, exp bar, hunger bar, a new lighting engine, sunsets last longer and they look better, vines, iron bar (like jail cell bars), sprinting, and some more i have missed if so please comment.
