I think having a schedule would probably help Rossco, and you. For example, at 6:00am, you wake up, and give Rossco food. After that, you take him outside. Rossco would start to understand what he has to do.

That method always works. and its very easy.

I trained my Rein the old fashioned way.
House-breaking: rub his nose in it (whether it's number 1 or 2), and smack his hind hips and yell NO and put him outside for a while. He will be house broken in no time.

Sit, stay, heel:
Use the permanent command terms as you manually manipulate his body to the action, and use positive reinforcement rather than negative. Test him daily by using the command. Depending on breeds, success time will vary.

Punishment:
We all hate this part, but an obedient dog comes from strict discipline and undying love and sheer dedication. When the dog disobeys, negative reinforcement is required, and yelling negative terms such as "NO" and "BAD". Depending on the offense, physical punishment will be required. A small breed like yours will only require smacking the nose or hind, but a large breed may need a good kick-ass. It isn't abuse if it's for punishment. I used these on my dog, Rein, and she was VERY obedient. And by age 5, she was well trained and no longer needed training sessions, but punishment must always remain important.

Also, talk to him a lot. I used to talk to Rein all the time. Dogs CAN learn English if you have engaging conversations with you. It's too bad they can't speak English.

For potty training you should first get a route and at the hour you want him to go out like say you take little rossco out 30-15 minutes before he eats and then 30-15 minutes after he eats and so on and so on

I think theres a better way than spreying your dog with an acidic spray. they can become more aggresive if you do this or become unhappy and confused if they dont understand what you want them to do. if you start punnishing them for little things they can think you are using them as slaves and think you dont love them. this can cause them to run away. and besides. you wouldnt do it to a child.

As for punishment, reward the dog with treats when its good (I use plain popcorn) And when its bad behavior make sure to let the dog knoe you're alpha. Say "bad girl/boy"

Make sure to always punish bad behavior or the dog will think it can control you and will make bad habits.

Kennels are good, because if you leave the dog will stay there. As for a bed it will take more training. If you go for the kennel, make it inviting with a blanket and add treats when you leave the house.

Thts exactly how you do it. when it does something wrong look angry and disapointed. it should understand. if it does something right, give it a treat. you can also use this method to teach your dog tricks. but with tricks you dont need to be as harsh lol

Crate training is really the best way to go, it seems mean and whatnot, but honestly it is by far the best way to potty train your dog.

As far as teaching it things, go with the clicker training method.
