Hello! MeAndMyWii here. This short blog will tell you some tips to make a bukkit server! (Minecraft)

Some info before we get started:
Bukkit is a minecraft server version, that is not made by mojang (Creators of minecraft) that can have plugins! (Anti griefing, mini games, weapon and armor changes etc)
There are TONS of griefers out there. Make shure you somehow have a little control, by having a plugin, and/or whitelist.

Ok, lets get started.

How to set up(Not needed with server hosters. if you have one, skip this):
First, you want to get an IP and port you can use. One way is Hamachi. (A server program) You can find toturials on that on youtube. or, you can use a router! How to set that up, you can find on youtube.
Now, get the latest recomended build from bukkit.org , put it in the folder, and run it. it will say **Not enough ram** somthing. You can find a way to fix it on youtube or google. not impotant.

well, while it run, it will create some files and folders. say stop when it is done with "Generating spawn" or somthing.
Now, you want to look at your server(.properties). open it with a text editor, and change the IP you want to use (Hamachi, router ect)(Look at youtube how to find out the IPs)
and change the:
Server-IP (Or similar) to the IP and
server-port: to the port (After the : in the IP. Default to 25565)

Here starts with server hoster companies too:

you might wanna look at PvP, Whitelist and gamemode. (Game modes: 0 = survival, 1 = creative)

Now, your server is acctually set up! But wait! There is more!
if you go to bukkit.org and click: Find plugins, you can find tons of helping tools and fun stuff to do on your server! Just download the .jar files, and drag them into the plugins folder!
