I'm under attack
Strings pull on my back
Fire blazes from far away
Making the night as bright as day

I feel the sweat start to drip
My breath starts to slip
I feel like I'm burning
My insides are turning

It ended as fast as it started
The sweat on my brow departed
Then my mind spun like a tornado
It was tearing through my body with pain

Thrown in the air like a ragdoll
I closed my eyes as I started to fall
But I never made impact
My life was still intact

It was to my surprise
When I opened my eyes
I was standing on the ground
Then I heard an eerie sound

I cupped my eyes
My mind started turning its gears
It must be a voodoo
Taking control of you

I felt lost and confused
The puppeteer must be amused
He's trying to control my mind
Mine and his entwined

I have to fight it
I have to get free
I relax
Focus on breaking free

No matter what I do
I can't fall for his voodoo
I start to spin again
But I just stay calm

Then I open my eyes
I'm laying on the couch
And I realize I escaped the voodoo
And I knew who

It was a demon
Attacking me while I was dreaming
I hope that maybe
that now I am free
