I'm going to be perfectly honest and acute.

Most people will not "like" that and some may remark how "my ideals suck" or "lol this could never happen". Well, perhaps if you didn't think with such a negative attitude it could.

Anyway, hear my thought. This is something I've discussed before, but not in an in-depth nature.

Maturity.

I'm not talking about maturity in the sense of "a 40 year old shouldn't like kid's toys" but more of maturity in the sense of moral responsibility and appropriate conduct/behavior.

I always ask myself:

Is it really going to be THAT difficult to act in a respectable way not only around people, but over the internet as well. Is it really imposible to be the better person and comment positively on a blog or chat instead of posting a snyde, immature, and uncalled for attack against someone for personal gratification.

It may be "just teh intrwebz" but that doesn't mean you shut off the moral behavior switch in your brain. I find it difficult to believe someone would go up to a person in real life, begin to make crude remarks, and then sexually harrass them with comments completely out of line in front of a crowd of a dozen peple who are all whating. [sarcasm]But hey, on the internet in a chatroom, I don't know who you are, and I don't care so it's okay to be an immoral leech[/sarcasm]


So I once again ask you, and commission you to think twice, and inquire to yourself this question: Is this a mature and appropriate thing to do/say, or am I simply trying to get a sick gratification from doing wrong when those I know aren't watching?


Is acting rudely going to get you anywhere?

No one is perfect,but making an effort is what counts.
