NJ has four regions, which are: Atlantic coastal plain, Piedmont, Highlands, and Ridge and Valley. These four regions have many things that make them unique, which I will now explain.
The largest land area, the Atlantic Coastal Plain, covers the southern three fifths of New Jersey. More than half of this state. It is Less than one hundred feet above sea level. Battleship number 62 is docked in Camden that shows how the people lived on the ship. From actually being there and sleeping over night on it I learned about battleship number sixty-two.
The Piedmont has the biggest population but is small in size. It only covers one Fifth of our state. New Jersey's major rivers are: Hudson River, Passaic River, Ramapo River, and Raritan River.
The Ridge and Valley is a mountainous area .The wide Appalachian Valley lies southeast. Dairy farming is an important business in this region. It also has the highest point in New Jersey.
Lastly is the Highlands region. It is known for it’s beautiful lakes. Highland means “hilly area”. Highland was almost entirely under water before it was first settled in 1848.
