I awoke this morning, my aching back reminding me of last night's mission: WRAP WRAP WRAP! The images of Frosty, Rudolph, Elven workshops, and of course Santa, still float like mote across my eyes. Brightly (too brightly) decorated ribbons and bows and boxes and bags stuffed with even brighter tissue paper, hidden away in their secret place in the basement. All the gifts from mommy and daddy stacked along with them there, our children's gleeful yelps and squeals of joy and surprise within each gift, awaiting to be released in a frenzy of lunatic ripping. I sit up and listen to our 5 kids playing together with the past year's presents, some broken, some of them tougher that a 4 y/o boy's wreckless imagination. In my heart beats the excitement of watching them open this year's haul. I remember my anticipation, and the giddiness erupts from my belly like a great woosh. As the day progresses, I remember batteries to buy and toyboxes to clear out for the new arrivals. I love christmas eve almost as much as christmas day itself!
Have yourselves the bestest Christmas everyone who might read this. Love Peace And Joy to you ALL!
