I said it was coming, so here it is: Plans for 2012 on this community of websites....



PAINTING
3DSPaint is in its infancy, so there is much to do with it yet. I need to bring the features onto the same level as those of DSiPaint. There are also some issues of compatibility viewing the MPO images on devices that key from the Exif header instead of the MP header; those must be addressed before the 3D Saviis come. A very important aspect of painting, deleting, is a requirement, too.

WiiPaint will see revitalization on the WiiU, but features will be unknown until the specs of the WiiU browser come along. I would like to base it on the new features incorporated into 3DSPaint, just scaled up to HD. Obviously, the launch of WiiUPaint must wait for the launch of the WiiU, so it may not come in 2012.

SAVIIS
Saviis will be receiving an overhaul. They will have double the image resolution (and 3D support on the 3DS). Saviis will be available for all consoles and finally have contests. This year will also mark the official launch of http://saviis.com.

THE MYSTICAL JOURNEY
I don't know if/when the final game will be released since volunteers keep vanishing without a trace, but I will keep pushing new features. I will start working on sprites and tiles within the next few months to aim for a village demo that puts Old Man Skunk's shop into more perspective. You will get to see OMS as a sprite and some of the final character artwork. Hopefully the first true cinema sequence will make a cameo this year, too.

If anyone volunteers to help with artwork, this timetable can accelerate considerably. I listed the above items under the assumption that it will remain a one-man team. If you are interested in helping, let me know.

GAME SHOWS
The priority isn't really high here, but I will try to squeeze in the planned Game Show app. At a minimum, I will improve the current game show system.

HULLBREACH ONLINE
With the Nintendo 3DS and the upcoming WiiU, I need to really look into overhauling this game and tying it more closely into the community.

ENHANCED PROFILES
Why do profiles have to be just one page? How to multi-page profiles sound? I would like to add a template system for adding more profile pages.

OTHER PLANS
* Continue speeding up the servers
* Host another Game for a Game competition in June-August
* Enhance the groups
* Enhance the message system
* Fix various bugs

Yes, but the 3ds is one of the hottest electronics.If only the dsi could last forever.But still, new year = new devices (yes, I know the 3ds came out in 2011).

3DSPAINT IDEA:
After 1 day of TMJ changing to TMZ, it changes to TMFW. (The Mystical Far Way)

Yes, but I think that should be priority number one above all. If the website doesn't work properly, how are we gonna use all of these new features?

I agree with you, hull needs to fix the bugs before starting all this. If not, very little would be done. Also, he is putting way too much on his plate. I think he needs to slow it down a little, I really don't think its healthy... unless, of course, hull is actually a robot in which his health wouldn't matter. (OMG HB IS A CYBERMAN SOMEONE CALL THE DOCTER!)

There are many aspects of the website(s) that are REALLY buggy right now. I think you should be focusing more on cleaning the bugs out first, then adding new features.

Enhance groups:

Add group messaging system and administrators, like the onwer of the group can set admins for its group and they can send messages to every member

Addressed: "From Group YYYYYY"

This would be very useful!

Also....a new layout for the group pages, like having the members listed in a different page from the groups main, and bigger shoutboxes!


2012 will surely be an amazing year for 3DSPaint and DSiPaint. As well as the sister sites
