I noticed recently that a lot (and I mean a LOT) of people have been calling themselves different things just because they think it's "cool." And I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like these people only announce this on thee internet. For example, I have seen many people post somewhere that they are atheist. And, hey, I've got
no problem with that cause so am I. But the problem with this is because they say it just to sound "hardcore" and and "cool." That's where I draw the line. They announce this on the internet, but if asked in real life, they would say no. If you believe in something, but you can't even stand up for your beliefs, you are not being true to yourself, just a coward. Another thing that I see people doing is listing on their profiles that their bisexual. Again, most of them do this just because they think it makes them sound cool, not because they are actually bisexual. The same goes for anyone who labels themself a "geek", "emo", "goth", "scene", "nerd", etc. It's not fun or "cool" or "awesome" if you are really an atheist or bisexual. Many people who stand up for their beliefs or who they are face discrimination and harassment. Though If you truly are one of those people and not a poser, I encourage you to be proud of who you are. Don't be put down by what other people think or say to you. And never let anyone suppress you because you are your true self.
