i have read a rant on the help desk and i am defending the users it rants on.
1. users that post questions that have been asked. There is no way to look back at way passed questions so i they dont remember and they didn't ask it in the first place they have to ask it, they might not know it was asked long before.
2. asking for impossible things. most people don't know advanced webpage coding so they wouldn't know it was impossible.
3.∞ people reporting a glitch. this is the area we could be more careful in. if it's been reported, don't report again!
Well I wouldn't classify these things as rants. A rant is a very heated monologue, often irrational, that usually isn't a good and productive way to express your ideas and feelings.
The issues I have with the Helpdesk as it is regard the replies rather than the queries.
However, yes, rants do happen there; and the ones that lack either basis, support, or respect are the worst. Which is unsurprisingly most of them.
