So yes, this is a "late review" .
The game Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron was released back on November 3rd of 2009 for the PSP and DS . Based on the SW Battlefront series, this one is very enjoyable.
You have the choices of Single or Multiplayer modes in this game.
I have a big complaint though about the Multiplayer mode. The reason for that is because on the PSP and DS , hackers commonly hack the game to get infinite points and get on the leaderboards . If your into multiplayer gaming, you might want to stick with the PS3 or Wii multiplayer games. Because with the DS and PSP , hackers will hack and do what they do best.
Another issue is the repetitiveness of the game. You basically play the same modes over and over again. (Deathmatch, free for all, galactic conquest, etc.)
This can be an issue for gamers because there are very few maps on the game, so you won't be changing things very often.
An upside to the game is the customization choices that are available. Unlike other SW Battlefront games, you can actually change your classes on this game. Classes range from an Arc caster to an assault rifle, the choices are endless.
Reception
Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron received generally mixed reviews. IGN giving it a 6 out of 10.[14] Gamespot gave it a 7.0 out of 10, commending its campaign mode and its three linked battlefronts, as well as the customization options it provides. Gamespot, however, criticized the little impact that the space battles had on the overall outcome, and the controls, calling them "stiff and awkward".[15]
The DS version received a 6.9 out of 10 from IGN,[16] praising the single-player storyline but stating that the Instant Action feature "leaves a lot to be desired".
