Early History
Little is known about Ada's life due to her extremely secretive nature, and even her name is an alias. At some point, she received rigorous training in firearms and acrobatics and was employed as a secret agent by "The Organization". At some point between 1994 and 1998, Ada was sent undercover to infiltrate the Umbrella Corporation. Posing as a researcher, she successfully infiltrated the Arklay Laboratory and began gathering intelligence on Umbrella's B.O.W. program and the t-virus. She entered into a fake relationship with the chief researcher at the facility, John Clemens, from whom she gained the majority of her information. Clemens used Ada's name as his personal password. After the unexpected t-virus outbreak on May 11, 1998, Ada used her skills in order to escape the laboratory, which had now become a hellish place.
At some point, Albert Wesker sent Ada a report on his past at Umbrella. 9
Raccoon City Incident (September 199
In order to regain his ruined reputation in The Organization, Albert Wesker joined forces with Ada. While still undercover within Umbrella, she obtained information that a researcher was close to the completion of the G-virus but refused to hand it over to Umbrella. Wesker knew that the researcher was William Birkin, and planned to save him and present the G-virus as a gift to The Organization. Wesker ordered her to infiltrate the Raccoon City Underground Laboratory. She came into contact with a freelance journalist named Ben Bertolucci who had been investigating the "flesh-eating disease" and offered to supply him with information on the mayor, Michael Warren and his connection with Umbrella in exchange for his co-operation.
Their plan was foiled after Umbrella sent their own U.S.S. (Umbrella Security Service) to seize the virus for themselves, leading to a city-wide biohazard with the t-virus leaking through the sewers. During the biohazard, Ada attempted to infiltrate the laboratory, but couldn't. After hearing that Ben Bertolucci was locked up in the jail cells of the Raccoon Police Department, she immediately made her way there to try and learn another way into the facility from him. While in the R.P.D. parking garage, she encountered a rookie police officer named Leon S. Kennedy. Using him to get to Ben, she departed upon learning of a way to get through the sewers, but reunited with Leon later. At his insistence, they formed a partnership and travelled through the sewers together.
A succession of dangerous situations gave the two of them time to be close to each other. During a brief encounter with Annette Birkin who shot at Ada, Leon threw himself to save her and was wounded. At this moment, something inside Ada began to change, but she left to confront Annette. After finally catching up to Annette, the two engaged in a short fight before Ada knocked her over a railing into the water below. After tending to Leon's wound, the two left to find a way into the laboratory. After boarding the turntable, they were attacked by the "G" creature and Ada was injured in the process. She disappeared and returned to her activities to retrieve the G-virus. She managed to locate the virus but ignored her objective in order to save Leon from the Tyrant (T-103 Type). Leon thought she was dead, but although she was severely injured, she was pretending, afraid of slowing down Leon with her injuries. Later, she managed to retrieve a tissue fragment from the "G" creature containing the G-virus and successfully aided Leon in destroying the Tyrant by providing him with a rocket launcher.
Upon escaping from the underground laboratory, Ada managed to patch herself up and made her way through the sewers, reaching the Apple Inn to meet with a contact from The Organization. Teetering on the edge of death, she found her contact dead and Wesker's face on a video monitor. Initially about to abandon her for betraying The Organization, Ada showed him the G-virus tissue sample. Wesker immediately gave Ada a means of escape and saved her life.
After successfully escaping the city with the G-virus, Ada became a legend in the spy business, and The Organization began to suspect her of working for another agency. She came to the realization that she would be eliminated once she was of no further use to Wesker, and renounced her identity of "Ada Wong".
Southern Europe Incident (Autumn 2004)
Over time Wesker's influence within The Organization grew to the point where it threatened to burn it from the inside. In order to control Wesker, the leaders of The Organization used a plan to draw in Ada. While not an unconditional request, if she could function in the role of monitoring Wesker, it would have been beneficial even if Ada could not be trusted. Furthermore, if they both kept each other in check, it might have automatically limited the chance of any activities as double agents, which would very unfavorable to The Organization - this is what they determined.
In 2004, Ada intercepted an e-mail sent by Luis Sera, a researcher of the Los Illuminados cult, and learned that he wanted to leave them. She decided to use him to obtain information on the parasitic organism known as "Plaga". In Autumn, she was invited by Wesker to join his secret organization ("The 3rd Organization") and began covertly conducting intelligence gathering activities. She was ordered to act separately from Jack Krauser to steal a sample of the genetically modified "dominant species Plaga" developed by Sera and the cult. Ada used Sera to steal the sample and attempted to rendevous with him.
At first glance, the long China dress she wore with a dancing butterfly design appeared to be a style poorly suited to espionage, but the dress was fitted with western accessories and deep side slits for movement and access to a weapon holster worn on her leg, not interfering with combat. Her items had a decidedly feminine flair to them, such as a flash bomb disguised as a pair of sunglasses and a small hookshot sewn into her clothing, satisfying her womanly desire to wear her favorite fashion items and look beautiful.
Ada made her way to the village town which the cult controlled and began conducting intelligence-gathering activities behind the scenes. She found herself standing in front of Leon again after six years. Minutes after ending her reunion with Leon, Wesker's cold voice delivered the final blow; "Eliminate any doubt. Do not take things further." Ada was shocked by the cold order to kill Leon. Not fighting for the same side this time, she kept a cautious distance, such as offering minor assistance when he was backed into a corner. Ada's plan began to go horribly wrong, with Sera being killed by Osmund Saddler and the sample falling back into the hands of the cult. Krauser, who was secretly operating between Wesker and the cult and distrusted Ada, made it a three-way struggle.
Amidst the chaos, Ada turned her back on Wesker's instructions and began operating independently according to her own objectives. She sometimes used and sometimes supported Leon in the pursuit of these goals, much like their encounter six years ago, such as bringing him to the isolated island controlled by the Los Illuminados. Leon defeated Krauser, who was killed by Ada. She fought the cult leader Saddler in order to take back the dominant species Plaga. When Saddler transformed and showed his true form as as a Plaga dominator, Leon and Ada fought together to defeat him. Ada gave Leon a rocket launcher at the critical moment of the battle, but afterwards pointed her gun at him and demanded he hand over the sample. After boarding a helicopter sent by The Organization, she tossed him a jet ski key to aid his escape, as if she still enjoyed this relationship with Leon. She then activated explosives which she prepared on the island.
"I don't do evil." Just as her words described, Ada delivered a mere subordinate species Plaga to Wesker and sent the dominant species sample to The Organization, the one she actually belonged to. She was working for a seperate organization the whole time and her alliance with Wesker was just a façade. Even in this mission to steal the Plaga, the true identity of the woman who has been called the "key to the true purpose" remains enshrouded in mystery. In regards to Wesker, following the Plaga retrieval mission, Ada stated in her report: "Me and him, though we're swimming against each other, we are made to swim together. At the moment, there's still some pleasant leeway. I safely made one step forward to my true end. One thing can be said for sure... the battle has not ended yet."
Ada detailed her mission in a report. 10
Her activities after 2004 are unknown, but she is believed to have had some connection with Ricardo Irving.
