Solar awoke in a dark room painted black.
"What... What happened...?" He wondered. The cat was feeling a bit dizzy. He observed that he was completely alone in the room. When Solar looked up to the ceiling, he saw a rather large spring on it.
"SPring..." He murmured. "Oh...Spring..." Solar broke down and felt tears begin to run down his face. "I killed her... And they killed me... but..."

Noticing the loud sobs coming from the cat, the Daughter of Green sighed and spoke down from the spring.

"Your crimes are becoming old, boy," Spring began. However, before she could talk any further, Solar interrupted her voice.
"Spring! Spring... Where are you? Spring!" He called upwards.
"Hush, boy!" She snapped, but then regretted her rashness. "I mean..."
Solar peered closer at the spring above him. After staring for a while, he said, "It's broken, isn't it? The spring..."
The she-cat sighed again. "Yes, Solar."
"What'll happen if I fix it? Please, Spring, will... Will it bring you back and let me escape from here?"
"... I suggest looking for a new spring to replace this one. Then see what happens."
Solar felt her presence slowly fading away from him. "Wait, Spring! Come... Back..." Solar heaved a sigh and decided to wander around the room for a replacement spring.
The cat had been walking around for a bit when suddenly he ran into something. After a groan of pain, he looked more closely at the object he ran into.
"A spring!!"

Solar, after pushing the spring so that it was right under the old one, called out to Spring. "I found a new one!"
A small light came and hovered in front of Solar and the spring for a little while before enveloping the whole room in white light. Solar shielded his eyes and braced himself for whatever came next.
Nothing ever came.

Solar opened his eyes weakly. "Spring?..." He muttered. Light filtered through a nearby window. The room in which he was in was tinged a soft yellow.
A very familiar window. A very familiar room.
"Where is Solar? Bring him to me!" A rather loud voice boomed.
Solar got up in a flash and automatically said, "Here, milady!"
"Wait...What?" He thought a second later. "If that voice called me... But it can't be. She's..."
"Solar!!" The voice of Lunar, his twin sister, called again.
"Coming, milady!" Solar shouted, taking off for the throne room. "No way..." His thoughts wandered again. "The new spring turned back time... But that means today is the day that Lunar's going to order me to..."
Solar immediately cut off the thought. "Well... I don't always have to listen to my sister, do I?..."
"What was that, my dear?" Came Lunar's voice.
"Uh, nothing, milady, uh..."
"Come, Solar. It's snacktime."
"Wait, Lunar."
"What?" Lunar seemed, as always, exasperated when things did not go her way quickly.
"Come with me to the garden. I need to have a word with you."

"No! No! You will kill her! Winter..." Lunar sobbed.
"Winter? She doesn't even love him. You don't have to destroy the city. That will make him hate you." Solar tried to negotiate.
"No!! Why should I not?! I-" She was suddenly pulled towards Solar.
"Listen to me, Lunar. Something bad will happen if you do this."
"Oh, like what? My death? Please, Solar. I am the ruler of this country," Lunar huffed. Solar became quiet.
"Not your death," Solar murmured. With a wave of his paw, Lunar was shown a vision of the bad future that was to come. His execution in place of her.
"N-no...No...You're my...brother? And you'll die for me if I destroy the country of green?" Lunar softly cried.
"Yes. So don't do this."
"Okay...Okay...b-brother."
Solar sighed and gazed at his sister. He would have some things to take care of that night.

That night at the old well, Solar once again met up with Spring. She was just as he had remembered her. Soft and kind and gentle...
"Hi, Solar," Spring said. "Welcome back."
"Wait, y-you remember?" He was confused.
"Of course."
"... Then... You know what's next, right?"
"Well, it doesn't have to be up next. It doesn't have to be any time."
Solar gave a small smile. "Did you mean it, that one night...I mean, the other this night, when you said that you... Loved me too?"
"Yes."
"Then...Then come with me. We can get away from here. We can move to a small country, where no one knows us." Solar gulped. He felt awfully brave right then and there. Suddenly, Spring lunged at him in a happy embrace.
"Can we... Can we get married?" Solar's eyes widened.
"Married...?" But first he would have to receive permission from his sis-
"Sure... Why not?"

Months later...
"Where could she be?" Winter thought. He was getting tired of looking for Spring. Just then, a small piece of paper floated by him. It said: "Small town, big news: Daughter of Green recently married to Servant of Yellow."
Winter read and reread the headline, then clenced the paper angrily.
"You've got to be kidding..."

As Solar sat at the table reading the newspaper, a headline caught his attention.
"Daughter of Evil captured. Execution at three this afternoon."
Solar felt his stomach clench.
"Spring," he choked.
