Have you written a story blog or poem blog on this site? So many of them are similar in different ways. So really, you can actually write different kinds of stories or poems. YESWAI.

A story could start something like, "There was a man standing in a dark alley, watching a person walking by...The person was wearing a brown leather jacket and jeans, with a blue plaid shirt."

One thing, you don't need too many details. And so many stories are started mystery-like. Stories don't have to be mysterious. SRSLY.

And poems.

Someone could write,
"I LUV U,
UR VERY SWEET
U MAKE ME
VERY HAPPY"

Maybe you've read something like that. Poems actually don't have to be about love. And they don't have to be inspirational. That is so cool! You can write poetry about being outside on a nice day (and fresh air would be good for you) or even about making dinner. Poetry can be happy. Some of the most famous poets didn't just write about depressing topics. Poems can be like a rhyming story. You have an imagination. You can use it.

That's not a haiku.[/quote]I did it on the spot when I got home from school after I stayed up till 11:30. I tried.

I like poetry and stories, but I don't like them when they're all the same. Yes, they're are people on here that actually have skill,and I respect them but the rest are 11 year olds writing poetry about tradgic breakups that use the same rhyme 10 times in one poem And usually always include the words "heart" "believe" and "cry"

Seriously. These rants get annoying. There's at least one OMG POETRY SUCKS blog every two weeks.

If you hate poetry so much, then don't read them. Otherwise, you cannot control what we poets write about.
We write from the heart. From our own feelings. A true poet writes because he is overstimulated with joy or sorrow. Not to impress society.


Of course, it's only annoying if you disagree right? If you dislike rants so much, don't read them!

Seriously. These rants get annoying. There's at least one OMG POETRY SUCKS blog every two weeks.

If you hate poetry so much, then don't read them. Otherwise, you cannot control what we poets write about.
We write from the heart. From our own feelings. A true poet writes because he is overstimulated with joy or sorrow. Not to impress society.

Stories could be interesting. Just like DSiPaint could have less kids and trolls in the community.

But people shouldn't just write in a whiny, "dark", or gloomy manner simply because that's what seems to be getting lots of views. Stupid Attention-Trollops.
