So this week I had taken the last state tests that we are required to take, only this time testing is different.
So back in the beginning of the year they told us that we weren't going to have TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) anymore , instead we were going to have STAARS (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness).
During this time period we were repeatedly told that STAARS was going to be alot more difficult verses TAKS. On the other hand, we were also told that if we failed this test, we would automatically go on to the next grade. (Which is unbelievable)
The one thing that frustrated me about STAARS was the fact that for 5 years I had been adapted to taking the TAKS, and then out of no where they changed it to STAARS. Also, what's really frustrating is the fact that 10th - 12th grade still gets to take the TAKS, which is unfair.
Another thing that bothers me.... I think that since my state is considered one of the most dumbest in the country, is probably another reason they gave us this test.. They think we are all dumb -_- .. not all of us are as dumb as you think.
