I'm preparing to release some updates to the messaging system. To fully integrate these changes, I will have to deactivate the message composer. I will be starting this process around 8:00pm EDT (GMT -4:00). The expected downtime will be a couple hours. You will be able to still read and delete existing messages during this maintenance period.

This update will add the following:
- Link to compose message from the navbar (in addition to the friend list)
- Search for friends by partial name matches
- Add up to 10 recipients to a message (capping that number to minimize spam)
- Forward messages to any friends

There are still several more updates coming to the message system. This is just the one that requires the longest integration time and is required before continuing with the others. Future updates include:

- Send messages to email addresses of members (based on their privacy settings)
- Send emails to a specific address to generate messages (similar to TWiiter's posting from the Wii feature)
- Paint image messages
- Thread views
