1st, I want to start by saying a very heartfelt thank you to everyone. My sister cried when she saw how many of you cared when all you've ever seen is a photo of Torri. It really made her feel a lot better
Second, I'm happy to sat that Torri will make a complete & total recovery. Her eyes are perfect, there will be no lasting trauma in any way, shape, or form.
Third, the not so good news. The woman who did this is NOT being charged with anything. The woman's sister got some high paying lawyer to twist things & now Child Protective is on my sister telling her because she has a history of bi-polar & a history of self-harming that if she wants to keep Torri, she has to see a counsilor. They asked her why she wasn't on medication for her bipolar, & she told them because the medication was making her worse & making her think of suicide...which made the CP idiots twist things even more & say she's suicidal. For some reason, they want to blame my sister, simply because tey can't pin this on the woman who's REALLY responsible. The woman admitted she had Torri when it happened. This is all because of the hospital. If the 2 hospitals had been more consistent with their diagnosis, the woman would have been charged. But at the first hospital, they said it was medical & that the bruising was caused by her sneezing too hard. The 2nd hospital, where she was transferred to with more specialty Drs, said it was physical abuse caused by someone applying pressure to her eyes & nose trying to suffocate her. These 2 different diagnosis screwed everything up.
