I am a hard working architect with a beautiful family and a nice house too. Now, as an architect, I have to travel around loads to get a good idea of my next project. Today was no different. I was to visit the town of Solus. It was a sleepy, suburban village home to the middle and upper class. Everything about it had its own element of beauty. Especially the parks. One could go out on a summer's day and embrace the sweet smell of daffodils and lavender. The cool breeze coming in at just the right spot. This was an opportunity to embrace paradise.

I hurriedly told my family the good news and we packed our bags quickly. We set off posthaste.

When we arrived at Solus the residencts greeted us. They even showed us to our temporary home. I found that this wasn't working, this was holiday!

We looked at the weather forecast and it turned out it was raining for the entire week! Just our look. Never mind. Anyway, I will discuss what I was doing there. Basically, some company wanted to build a gym in Solus and I was obviously hired for this otherwise this wouldn't of happened. I had to survey this plot of land and decide upon a suitable building. Some of the locals weren't happy because they believed that area could potentially have historical treasures. I was paid to design, not to excavate. When I eventually arrived, I felt a change in atmosphere. Gone was the buzz and liveliness of nature. It was a barren field with an oak tree placed in the middle. It almost felt like it was glaring at me. I walked closer and closer and closer. I then laughed at myself. Who gets frightened over an oak tree?

Now, here's the clincher. I sat with my back facing the tree and eating ny lunch when a building caught my eye in the horizon. Something about it kept me attracted to it. It was massive and quite attractive as well. The whitewashed walls reflected rays of sunlight. The reddish roof was radiant. The big double doors dominated the walls and those windows. It wasn't long before I realised I was walking towards it. I was about to resume work but I decided to admire it further. It truly was the best designed house in the village. I looked up at the windows. There was a figure, staring relentlessly at me. Its eyes burned into my flesh. I couldn't stop looking. I knew that the house was beckoning me, but I didn't fall for this trap. I walked away and I resumed work.

When I had finished, I was actually quite happy with the design and I was on my way back home. But I couldn't stop thinking about that house. That house. That house. It plagued my mind. What did it want? What did the house want? Then it became obvious. The people wanted me to explore it. Why else would they make me work there. That house... That house. I knew someone was in charge of this strategem. I would find this person first.
