This game is so intense that it'll leave you on the edge of your seat guessing on the next outcome. It is so intense that someone actually took the game too far in multiplayer.

The basic plot is that some idiot gets murdered in his own home. You have to figure out every detail. You even have to figure out his mother's maiden name. The best part is that the killer could be anyone as the game randomly selects a killer. You then select a character which creates tension. Is this the killer? One time it turned out I actually was the killer which left me very scared. This has never been done and is a unique game plot. This plot leaves much to the imagination which makes it even more adapted to the thriller as you never know exactly what happened.

The graphics vary depending on which edition you use. It was so popular that third party companies made similar versions with different themes. However, the graphics generally are lifelike.The developers clearly spent some time on designing each room and each corridor. Unfortunately the character models are rudimentary which lets down the game.

Gameplay is very addictive. The random outcome makes you wonder just how many times the victim was murdered. It is funny when it turns out you're the killer or you're best friend in multiplayer is. Also, the sigh of relief when you can cross that psychopath of your list. The multiplayer is exceptionally good. Unfortunately, like many game developers they left nothing for singleplayer mode which really let gameplay down.

Another major flaw was the lack of music. I had to play my own music which was truly disappointing. Although I think that it could be deliberate to increase tension but I highly doubt it. I think it was developers being lazy.

Overall I rate this game 8.5 / 10. The score takes into account flaws however and personally, I think they add to the tension.

My new score is 9.5/10 if you think the flaws make the game better.
