Ten years ago, a tragic thing
Bin Laden attacked us all.
The planes drove in the tallest towers
And made the towers fall.
Below, e'erything was normal until
Debris had fallen to earth
From space it seemed and now still poor
Manhattan had suffered the worst.
The fighters came and tried to help
While risking their lives for them
So many died; nothing to do
And now, they're heroes to them.
The innocent trapped up above
Just desp'rate to escape
The flames inside licked the glass
While people below looked through the drape.
Step into an oven, then you'll see
Why people up there decided
To jump and plummet surely to death
to people down there who hided.
The whole world wondered while New York suffered
The ones at home, the loved
Away with worry and questions and now
Time went by like mud.
Then finally, bodies were counted
People at home rejoiced
People at home never felt worse.
The horror cannot be voiced.
Even today, after ten years
We still remember those heroes
The tragedy of nine-eleven
The worst from all our foes
Bin Laden's dead, is it revenge?
Heroes with honored plaques
Little does this cover their death
"Please bring my family back!"
