Dr. Eggman was pacing back and forth in his thinking room, when an Egg Fighter was smashed through the door. The one who did it was none other than Knuckles the Echidna.
"Alright, Eggman! What did you do with the Master Emerald this time?!!" Knuckles said angrily.
"Me? I didn't do anything this time! What happened to it?" Eggman said, confused.
"You didn't take it?! Look me straight in the eye and say that!" Knuckles snapped.
Dr. Eggman did just that.
"So you didn't take it..." Knuckles said.
"What hap--?" Dr. Eggman said, but Knuckles cut him off by leaving.
Sonic was taking a run along Virginia Beach when he saw some sillouhettes ahead. One of them matched Shadow.
"Hey, Shadow!" Sonic called, but he got no response. So, he decided to go after them and see what's up... and discover why Shadow was involved.
