The knight or the dragon, which comes first?
The jester is singing another song to the king (Tyranny).
A song of a knight that slayed the beast but soon became a beast himself, "What a fine knight!"
They said but didn't see his intentions about to surface. (Greed)
But that knight grinned to himself as if the smile was rehearsed.
The townspeople didn't know the truth;
That boy was the one to kill the beast himself.
"You have no skill, boy!" They said and kicked him aside.
He smiled and took it, knowing that was all he'd get.
Still that knight grew in power. (Stolen success)
But little did he know they weren't the only two at the scene.
Behind a greenery stood a jester watching that boy fight, as that 'brave' man laid in defeat.
"What a fine knight!"
The king listens with a careful ear,
He looks to the "knight" beside him as he stands silent.
Mockingly the jester says; "What a brave fight!
The knight denies his crime, what a cold man!"
The castle door opens as a boy of young enters.
"Your majesty, I have something to say."
The boy points to that 'brave' knight;
Pointing out his lies with no falseness in his eyes.
The next day in that courtyard stood the honorary boy who slayer the beast, no falseness in the slight.
