Premise:
In the game Assassin's Creed, you play as bartender Desmond Miles, who has been captured by a company known as Abstergo Industries. Abstergo Industries is looking for important information that only Desmond can help give them. Problem is, Desmond has no idea what they want or what to tell them. Lucky for Desmond, since he cannot give the needed information, only one person can; Desmond's ancestor, Altaïr ibn-La'Ahad.

With the help of Abstergo's state-of-the-art technology, the Animus, Desmond can connect to his ancestor's memories, and not only see them, but live them. Abstergo is searching for a specific moment in Altaïr's memory for the vital information they need, but the only way to get to this information, is to live through Altaïr's memories through the Animus.

Gameplay:
Now, this is where you, the player, come in. Your job is to help Desmond and Abstergo live through Altaïr's memories to uncover the truth of what happened by using parkour/freerunning skills to race across rooftops, fight heated battles, and eliminate your target without causing a stir.

Altaïr has brought shame about the Assassin's by breaking the 3 laws of the Assassin's creed. The 3 laws are:
Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent
Hide in plain sight
Never compromise the brotherhood

Unfortunately, since our friend here Altaïr has broken the Assassin's Creed, our journey begins....

For your crimes against the brotherhood, you must redeem yourself by Assassinating designated targets across Jerusalem to redeem your honor and bring back faith from you fellow Assassins.

Each mission requires you gather 3 sources of intel on your target before Assassinating them. You can either, interrogate, eavesdrop on conversations, or pickpocker letters from specific townspeople to gather all the information you need. Once all sources have been gathered, you may return to the Assassin's bureau to get the ok to assassinate.

Review:
The game was honestly one of the best games I've played in a long time, and had great gameplay and a fantastic plot to boot. I found the parkour aspects of the game to be very exhilarating and fun. Running away from a mob of guards as they helplessly try to catch you is quite fun I assure you!

The combat works well and is easy to use, but can be a little annoying when being swarmed by 10+ enemies. Other than full on battles, assassinating your target with perfect execution (get it lol?) is a very rewarding feeling. Killing your target without even so much as a sound is one of the greatest "I feel awesome now" moments in the game.

PROS AND CONS

PROS:
Assassin game done right
Parkour/freerunning feels fluid
Story is easy to follow and works well
Stealth kills feel rewarding

PARKOUR! Fun stuff

CONS:
Mediocre soundtrack
Clunky combat (at times)
Really annoying beggars
Repetitive missions

....Beggars *grumble*

CONCLUSION
All I can say is that Assassin's Creed is a fantastic way to take a step in the past and add a mercenary type style to it. The game's story and plot are well put together, and it makes you wonder what's coming next. With all the action of the game you will be sitting on the edge of your seat trying to escape a tricky situation and much more. Overall, I don't think I would want an Assassin game any other way.

VERDICT: 9/10

I liked the first one's story, but the second one had better gameplay in my opinion mainly due to the added range of combat options and customisation available also the addition of gold added another element to the game. I haven't played brotherhood or revelations though so I don't know how those were.

When I get tired of 7 begger in my way I descreetly stab one (only one, not going in a killing rampage I did only ONCE)Then get to a bench.Trusty Benches.

Lol, well, I was debating giving it an 8/10 or a 9/10. I understand that the parkour aspect of the game can pretty much break down at times and really frustrate, but it's really nice to see it come together. The combat, I agree was pretty bad, which Is why I honestly just ran away, because I was pretty good at escaping. The reason I gave the game a 9 out of 10 was because as I was playing the game, I wasn't having fun, but as the game came to a close, I realized just how much fun I was having.

The reason I am reviewing a 5 year old game is because, well, I've never got around to playing it, and now I have. I just wanted to give an opinion for others who haven't played this game as well. A reason i may have enjoyed it more if because i played this on PC which may have been a more stable and fixed release.

Most of the events and chactersin this series were real? In the second one, all characters aside from Ezio and the modern characters were real people.
