Since I first hit double digits, kids and myself transitioned from GBA`s to the DS.

The games were great at that time! I especially enjoyed the GTA and Pokemon series. As with all gamers, however, games get boring, and we want something new. Time has now made me look with disgust when I browse my local Gamestop or Supermarket. At sixteen years old, there is no appeal left, and when a game does intrigue me, it often leaves a greater want for more after I beat it, or it doesn`t live to expectations and I quit, more devestated than before. It seems that the DS and the DSi/XL will not have any more games made and will soon become obsolete.

I`ve considered many options, but some personal input would help. Suggestions for older-player oriented games would be appreciated. Even then, should I jump up to the 3DS, or quit the handheld and stick to consoles?

I`m sure you have met this dilema yourselves-- Pass your knowledge onto me!

It doesn`t even have to be just Nintendo: The PSP interests me too, so give some details on it as well.

Make sure to cheer on your nation in the Olympics!

Or, save up just $50 more and grab a 3DS XL.

I support Hullbreach, but why was this accepted? First off it's a question which is what bulletin boards are for, and second it's quite short. Also yes, cheer for your nation but what was the point of putting that in your blog? It has nothing to do with the subject.

A consel has much better online, which adds to reply value. Playing by yourself isn't as fun as playing with others.

If you're looking for a quick thing, 3DS. It's already out, and has a strong library. (RPG's are a bit lacking, but there are quite a few good ones coming out soon)

But if you're patient and you want to make more of an investment, Wii U is the way to go.

Dude, when all other games start to bore you, GO INDIE! Some good indie games not including Minecraft are the thrilling horror game "Slender", the cute bullet-hell MMO "Realm of The Mad God", or maybe the Metroid-meets Minecraft game "Terraria". Just google Indie PC games!

Go to youtube. Type in (Desired console/handheld) reviews or something and hit enter. I also know of a few good reviewers, though none of them review ds games, for that just go to ign. Also, you could watch gameplay videos, or a little bit of a Let's Play (only watch all of them if you aren't planning on getting the game). You could also try not playing games and finding other stuff to do for a while. I raotate between games. If one game gets boring, then I switch to another.

Yes. move to the 3DS as soon as you can.

For the DS, I don't know what you have, but the choices are pretty obvious honestly, look through review sites and such, there's an abundance (Personal recommendations are Space Invaders Extreme and Moon).

For DSiWare, GET X-SCAPE GET X-SCAPE GET X-SCAPE GET X-SCAPE! Also, I recommend Mighty Flip Champs, Shantae, Escapee Go and Flipper.

As for 3DS, there are obvious choices, but some underrated choices are CRUSH3D, Bit. Trip SAGA, and Steel Diver (Best Buy is offering that and PilotWings Resort for $5 until supplies run out)

If you are a "harecore" gamer then go with consoles because they are more powerful and they have fps games and better graphics XD but if you are more of a "casual" gamer then go with the 3ds since most of there games are pretty gun but still have that ds style but the 3ds has started to get more M rated games like "Resident evil:Revelations" or "Metal Gear Solid:Snake eater" and more

I'd suggest moving to the 3DS. It has many great games, like Mario Kart 7 and Kid Icarus: Uprising. The 3DS is also fully backward compatible with DS and DSi game cards, so your existing library still works. You can transfer all but about 10 DSiWare games to the 3DS, too.
