Quoth BIackbirdquote]Chick Fil A has the right under their first amendment rights, to basically say whatever they wish to say about the gay community, just as the community has the right to boycott the chick Fil a franchise, under their rights to a peaceful protest, but in NO way does the gay and lesbian community have the right to loiter inside any establishment just to suck face to show what? That they are there, and prepared to hinder a Christian company from making money? The founder said what he said, okay I can get that, and by them protesting, he might lose money, but who are they really affecting by doing this? Let's see, the protesters are loitering, and therefor breaking the law, which could result in arrests, which might hinder their getting a good job (arrest record). The customers, who won't be able to spend their money, which helps pay for the building, and it's employees. Now to the employees, who have to put up with the protestors, and irate customers, whom are now less inclined to come back, and spend more money, which will affect their jobs, to the point of pay cuts, or being laid off. So? Knowing what we now know, who ends up hurt from a protest? The owner? The protestors? The employees? The customers? I'm sure you can figure it out.
Now, I'm not saying that what the owner said was proper, or that he shouldn't have but his tongue, because he should have. Who are the American people to constitute what is marriage an what is not? Who is he to say who CAN and CANNOT constitute marriage?
As a guy with a sister that is married to a WOMAN, and a brother with a fiancée, I dare say I am more inclined to say what should be constituted as marriage. Which should be a CONSENTUAL agreement between two legal adults. It shouldn't matter if it's a man and a woman, or a woman and a woman, or a man an a man. If you are happy then you should be able to be married to who you are happy with. How does two men affect you? I mean REALLY affect you? I imagine it would be just about as distracting as someone scratching their left big toe. Yeah you'd see it, an you might get a little grossed out, but does it REALLY affect you? No. No it doesn't.
I'm going to stop now, because I fear I may have gotten away from the main point of this blog though.
Well put right there.
As for you feeling you are more inclined or have the right to say what a marriage is, you don't see it from the owner's and my point of view. If you believe there is no God, or believe the Bible is a book of lies, then of course you will believe that man makes the rules and standards therefore since man says gay marriage is okay, it must be.
However, I see it as there IS a God, and the Bible is a book 100% full of TRUTH, therefore from my point of view GOD makes the rules and GOD sets the standards, and since the Bible is full of God's rules and standards, and it clearly defines marriage as between ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN, I believe homosexuality is wrong.
You see? We see it from two completely separate points of view, each of our views being affected by whether or not there is a God or if there is a Book of Truth.

If they're against gays, just leave the homosexuals alone. Goddamn, do the other churches REALLY want to suffer the same fate of west boro? C'mon!

You're kinda missing the point... Moria made a good point and LinkZ followed it up with knowledge that disproved it. What you're implying is that the Catholic Church can't know if they're infertile and therfore can't prevent it, which is totally irrelevant to this discussion :')

So yea, I totally hope the dude who came up with the "Support Chic-Fil-A-Day" gets a fat ass raise, because my Tumblr, Twitter and a bit of my FB feed was totally filled with people bragging what awesome Christians they are because they bought a chicken sammich at an anti-gay fast food place.
I mean sweet thats awesome for you and Imma let you finish, but honestly hasnt the definition of what makes a "good Christian" changed since Jesus' time?
Remember when the mad rich dude asked Jesus, "Bro, what would make me perfect?" and Jesus would reply, "Dude you should only spend money at businesses that supports Mosaic Law"? Yea neither do I, in fact he commanded you to give to the poor.
But hey that $4 bucks you spent on a chicken sammich to prove what an incredibly awesome Christian you are could have literally saved a life of someone starving, but naw instead you chose to let corporate America manilpulate you into padding their quarterly profits.
Your Jesus of the Bible, he would have been super damn ashamed, of course Jeezus, the assault rifle toting, American born, gay bashing war hero was totally pleased.
So yea, was that kiss in REALLY that big of a deal?
A kiss-in at a Chick-Fil-A? What has the American Gays mindset come to? You have to be tottally care-free to do that.
Besides, I bought a Chick-Fil-A sandwich today Haruspex, and yes, I am an awesome Christian. Who cares about them Gays, leave them to what they want to do. They just shouldn't be mindless.

"I think the kiss-in is just as bad"
>.> Dude.. No. Sure it's going out of their way to make out in places, but COME ON! That's only a step farther than just kissing in public..

Hey HullBreach! Listen to this my friend. Okay yesterday {August 1} I went and ate at Chick fil A in Tulsa Oklahoma, the wait was incredible but I love the way they stood up for their beliefs. While there I noticed about 40 people outside with signs chanting vulgar stuff and whatnot. It was about 108 degrees outside though so they were hot and sweaty so believe it or not the workers at the chick fil a came out and gave them ALL large ice waters on the house! It was the most EPIC and HONORABLE thing I've ever seen. Being kind to the guys out there cussing at them, what an amazing restaurant

THE KISS-IN IS A MEAN IDEA! There basicly telling gay people,“ HA-HA WERE BETTER THAN YOU CAUSE YOU LOVE YOUR OWN SEX!” I mean seriously! You love who you love! I was riding home today and saw a church with a sign that said,“ HOORAY FOR CHICK-FA-LAY!” I understand that's their beliefs but you don't need to express it to the whole world! That hurts feelings!oops! CHICK-FIL-A
