The father can be seen as wealthy since he is the main source of income. We also have the son as working class (since he only brings in enough income to support himself) and the mother is the head of the family (since she decides where the money goes). So John is the Father, Alice is the Mother and the Son is Joe.
"Mom?" said Joe
"Yes sweetie?"
"There's a new awesome game out... Could you put money towards it?"
"We have plenty more important stuff to spend money on. Besides, your paper job should be enough..."
"But that pays too little..."
"Well, your Father keeps our econ- I mean wealth high. Why should he waste money on low income people like you?"
"Surely there's a better system..." remarked Joe.
"Well there isn't. Your father chose me as the mother so stick with it..."
Then Joe had a great idea... A system where money was used as a unit rather than individually, where work was done so the family could survive. Money would be spent equally and nobody would be ignored...
"Dad..."
"Yes Joe?"
"Why do you spend money on stuff you like?"
"Haha! That's great! Because I earned it! If you wanted a high paying job, you should of gone to school."
"But I am at school!"
"Well stop complaining! You'll be in my position soon!"
"Why can't we spend the money as a family rather than individually? We should share money..."
"Er... No. My money, my rules."
"Come on... Please?"
"Fine. We'll try your stupid idea..."
Because Joe saved his money and John spent it, Joe became the most powerful person in his family. Joe decided that since it was his idea, he should have more power and eventually overthrew his mother.
Joe decided that because he was in power, he was greater than his parents and got an even greater amount of money. Eventually, he was in full control. They had parties, expensive stuff, etc. However, this drastically lowered the wealth. Eventually, Joe was forced to resign granting John presidency.
The wealth was increased exponentially after that. Joe also learned why the family system was the way it is. At the end of the day, everyone was individually dependant while maintaining high wealth.
