Note that this is a review of how the game works on the 3DS rather than the game itself.
In this game, you can eat pretty much anything that is living (except people) including crocodiles. This leads to some funny dialogue with your medic. In the game, she is known as 'Para-medic' which literally means a medic armed with a parachute. Anyway, she will talk about biological features and facts while Snake wants to know if it tastes nice or not. Don't take her word for it though, some food items are disgusting!
This game is set during the Cold War. The background story is basically this:
In order to resolve the Cuban Missile Crisis, they allowed Sokolov to defect to the Soviet Union. However, it turns out that he is the designer of a scary weapon! Oh noes! Fortunately, Snake is about and ready for action.
Since this is a port, I can't really review plot.
The adaptation actually works well on the 3DS since the HUD can be moved to the lower screens. There is also innovation with photo camo. As the name suggests, you can create camouflage using the 3DS cameras. This is quite interesting since you can actually make patterns better than the patterns you already have.
As an easter egg, there are hidden Yoshi dolls around the jungle (since the 3DS is obviously created by Nintendo). I think they have adapted Gameplay well for the 3DS. One flaw however is that the face buttons (A, B, X, Y) are used to control the camera. They should actually be used as action buttons. Otherwise, the controls are fine. However, the stealth gameplay is ruined when you realise it is based on one variable (how well you blend in with the background) but this may be seen as a plus since you have to think about tactically camouflaging yourself (eg. blending in with dirt if there isn't much grassy patches).
The graphics are actually quite beautiful and really capture the scenery well. Especially with 3D applied. Obviously, it won't be as good as the HD collection but they are still stunning. Also, the sound is amazing!
You can hear several animals in the background and even hear Snake's stomach rumbling when he's hungry. In fact, although there is a lack of music, this lack is better for the game. It adds tension and allows you to appreciate the background noise.
This game has dodgy camera controls and besides photo camo and moving the HUD, I didn't see much innovation. You could use the gyroscope to balance yourself but that was pretty much it. I would of liked to have seen the gyroscope being used for aiming. Or just pointless tricks involving the features of the 3DS. For instance, have some touch screen mini game for medical treatment. However, the visuals and audio are outstanding. I think this was a good adapation of the game to 3DS. Plus, we have replay value when trying to find all Yoshi dolls or just simply for fun.
I rate this game 8.5/10. I'd recommend it.
P.S: If 2+2=5 then 4=5 which means 1=0 meaning that 0=0 meaning 1=1. Since we know that 1 = 1 then 2+2=5.
I belive in the origanal Metal Gear Solid 3 these Yoshi Dolls were actually frog dolls. But I do love the E-Z Gun.It makes the river ghost part so much easier.
Kerotan frogs and The Sorrow battle. I do have the PS2 game and by the looks of it, I rather go with the PS2 version. The controls on the 3DS sounds complicated.

If 1=1 then 2=2 and 5=5 so you are wrong. Plus 0=1 doesn't mean that 1=1 and 0=0. And if 1=0 then 0+0=5 which is again wrong. AND 4=5 means that 2=3, so yeah. Now back to my homework: 12+3i...
