Summary of Admin Meeting

This community began March of 2009 (not counting the stand-online HB Online) as a place where gamers could meet to schedule online matches or tournaments. Alongside that were tools for developing browser-based games with making touch-based controls, raycasting dungeons, and 3D wireframes.

Over the years, there was considerable growth in the community, which expanded to the 3DS and the Wii (beyond just the SDK). The original gaming roots were left in the wayside to take on more social networking elements, like enhanced chatrooms, blogs, expandable profiles, personalized groups, polls, painting, spriting, Saviis avatars, and more.

The community has been great, but somewhere over the years, it lost some of its way and became just another social networking community. For that reason, a major discussion of the admin meeting was the direction to move in the future. To summarize: GAMING!

- New Game Show app back in development!
- TMJ first chapter coming THIS YEAR!

- The NiWiFi app finally being updated!

I don't regret saying that there's more "experienced members" that happen to hate the new gameshow update because of obvious reasons and very much decreased quality of any and all gameshows. Please consider making a revert to original gameshow settings and just recruiting more gameshow hosts.

I completely agree with Emptyness's comment. I was prepared to rant about the abuse of this new gameshow feature but now request that there are still gameshow host administrators and that they are the singular way to receive game points. Then gameshows would still be as often as usual AND points would not be abused.

There could be a gameshow schedule. People apply in advance to host one. When individual games start being played with more than 4 players, like maybe 10/15, then more games could be played at one time. Then there could be a few people to moderate who gets to host one and when.

I think this idea could work, or at least something similar to it. I think I'll submit this idea to THD a bit later.

I have a solution to the Gameshow Host 'exploits'. The existing Gamemods can administrate gameshows.

Not spam points, win points, the red button in the gameshow host thing. It gives an extra point in the leaderboards, so right now anyone can abuse that

Once again, Breezy here with another issue. You gave the gameshow power away. Great Job. But Now there is the option of just giving random points away, as Biphenyl calls them, Spam points. Most of the users dont even know how gameshows work. So there would just be random points given out to random people for random reasons. It still doesnt make sense to make Gameshow accessible to ALL the users. Maybe some. Just not all.
